First of all, I'm a professional author. Yes, a full-time making a good living sitting around day dreaming and writing it all down person. Some would call me a professional goof-off and say, as the old song goes, "...get a haircut and get a real job..." I tend to ignore these people. I make more money than they do.
I spent way too many years in various areas of academia as both a student and teacher. Thankfully, neither experience took very well. Over the years, I've done many things for the life experience value as well as general socialization. I've been in the Navy, worked as an electro-mechanical engineer, college professor/department chair, and in retail sales
I'm not sure why I'm here other than to find similarly minded people for interesting conversation and friendship. That all said, I'm mostly interested in talking about the paranormal and/or science-related topics. In particular, I'd like to talk about UFOs...see below.
Ask me about my several ghost sightings. Or ask me about my rather strange experiences while I was dating a parapsychologist. And even ask me about my dismal failures to see a UFO despite hundreds of hours of watching the skies. I'd give my eyeteeth to just see a UFO, let alone an alien.And if aliens invited me on their ship (ala Close Encounters), I'd go in a heartbeat.
One thing I'm not here for is to actively look for a date, wife, girlfriend, or arrangement. On the other hand, I can't see the future (despite there being a good argument that seeing the future is my job!), so I have a totally open mind. Whatever happens, happens.
As far as the people I'd like to meet goes, mundane numbers like age, weight, height, measurements and so on don't matter much if at all. They are, after all, just numbers. What DOES matter is the ability to carry on intelligent conversation. One-sided people, frankly, bore me to tears. In other words, the only number that matters is IQ. And trust me...it's easy to spot those who are one-sided or are using a thesaurus to look up the big words. Usually takes about three sentences.
I should mention that if I look at your profile and I don't contact you, that doesn't mean I'm not interested in talking to you. It likely means only that I don't fit your "published" factors you have in your "Looking For" section. Sometimes, if I match a good percentage of your desires, I may ignore good manners and contact you anyway. In any event, if you wish to contact me, please feel free. I don't bite.
And there's one thing I can promise you...some interesting stories based in science and the paranormal!
