I was married to my high school sweetheart and was married for nearly 49 years. She told me, "You have worked hard all of your life and want to enjoy what you have left". She battled ovarian cancer for 4.5 years and told me she was most likely going to leave me before she wanted too. I nursed her and stood by her side all this time and glad to have done it.
