I've been single for some time, but have never ruled out the possibility of meeting that 'special someone'. Married and divorced twice (sounds bad doesn't it!) I'm independent, like socialising and enjoy travelling. I do voluntary work, have an allotment, go off on holidays at short notice, plus I also have a great circle of friends, but I'd really like to get to know someone who would hopefully become 'a special friend' to me.
I enjoy walking/rambling, going to the pub, playing cards (Grand Canasta especially - although I'm no expert), listening to music (I've a wide variety of taste - tamla mowtown, country western, pop, classical, etc). My hobbies include pottery, line-dancing and gardening, to name a few.
Family comes first and my friends are very important to me. I really value and do enjoy some long-standing friendships. I embrace change openly (how else does the world progress?) I don't believe you can take out of a system without putting the same (or more) back into it. I'm fairly spontaneous (I like to plan ahead if at all possible, but sometimes that's just not the case and I do enjoy a challenge).
It's 10 years since I gave up smoking and in all honesty, I don't wish to offend anyone, but no smokers please. As with most dating sites, a few photos would be very welcome (I like to see the person who's contacting me!).
