It's hard to write about yourself, but other people have described me as compassionate, committed, self-confident, loyal and active (wow!?). I am quite a positive and social creature and enjoy meeting new people.
I love music - alot. I'm totally passionate about authentic expression, whether it's Punk Rock, John Coltrane or J.S. Bach.
Creative Man - I'm always making something. I've got my own business doing creative work, and value the freedom that it gives me: "Ain't no 9 to 5!".
Fave things include going to gigs, concerts, caffs, cinemas, exhibitions and pubs. But I'm also keen on the pleasures of the table. Really enjoy cooking, stuff from various cultures around the world and my 'elaborate' breakfasts have been very well received!
I'm also an outdoors sort of chap, I've done a number of long distance walks and I keep fit - go running and cycle everywhere... that is everywhere in, er, cycling distance.
History is all crucially interesting to me, but I don't just sit around reading about it - I'm active in archaeology, and can often be found down a hole digging up the past.
I could go on, but specific cultural refs can be a barrier as well as a point of connection and anyway, I wanna hear what you like to do!
So what sort of person am I looking for? Well... WANTED: Rebel Girl! Now before you switch off, what is this rebellion of which he writes? Well, what I really mean is someone who is an original thinker, in one way or another: maybe you love being in the natural world, or are strong on politics or the world of ideas, or maybe you just do a lot of cake baking or something... that in some sense or other you aren't just a slave to convention.
There's too much greyness, too much drab conformity in modern life, so let's kick out the mediocre, and go for the real thing! (... and have a laugh along the way)
