I'm a so called retiree, (who wants to retire from livingnot mekeep active spirituality, physically and mentally), who is a very young seventy, domesticated, clean shaven, neat and tidy, slim, fit and healthy leading a healthy lifestyle with some indulgences.
Previous life a biology teacher/administrator who enjoys the outdoors -- the fresh air of beaches, mountain streams and rainforest in our NQ. Trips to places like Mission Beach, Yungaburra, Port Douglas for a get away now and then.
Indulgences like dining out (Thai is my favourite) and going for a social drink or a good movie, if there is something worth watching, are included on my enjoyable things to do, also a good cook up (I'm no chef--you can help) at home with a wine/beer and nibblies. Occasional visits to the markets coffee/breakfast/lunch.
My old biology degree and failed veterinary ambitions would have had something to do with my liking animals and gardening.
Managing and doing internal renovations and small landscaping projects are rewarding and helps to keep me active.
Reading is mainly non-fiction as my interests are in nutrition and natural therapies being a massage therapist (It's my hobby-if you can call it that). Collin Tipping's Radical Forgiveness' and the Echart Tolle's books are also on my list for continuous perusal.
Do some work on the computer and will listen to most genre of music except that cacophony produced by loud head banging type . A little sport watching on TV as well as documentaries and some comedies eg As Time Goes By
Good company and pleasant social interaction are worth a lot. Friendship is very important and friendship combined with an intimate relationship is extra special. I would like to think the people I meet see value in friendship if things go no further. I usually go along and enjoy what's on offer -- easy going not too much ruffles my feathers.
The proof of the pudding lies in the eating Try it.
