I'm a one man woman, and very affectionate and cuddly once I make the decision that I'm interested, and if its mutual. I need time to get to know someone first. Chemistry is very important. It might take a few meetings. I value honesty and integrity, and loyalty, and give the same in return. I don't play games, never have, never will, and don't tolerate it either. I will let you know sooner rather than later if I feel chemistry is lacking between us, and would expect the same courtesy from you. I dont believe in wasting peoples time.
I would prefer someone who is local, and I am quite prepared to travel across the wider Brisbane area.
Despite what I have said above, I am quite open to dating and friendship that may possibly develop into a long term relationship. When I am in a relationship I tend to give my partner a lot of space to do their own thing, as I too like my independence. I am fairly flexible about the type of person; I am looking for someone with whom I click, and who will complement me, and even stretch me out of my comfort zone and current habits into new territory. Some things I have not done simply because its not that much fun on your own, for example going to shows.
I am a good listener and communicator. I am also quite placid and laid-back. I don't believe in agro, and can't tolerate it in a relationship.
I like the simpler things in life now. I ate enough hotel food because of travel through work to last me a lifetime. I still like eating out, but not a lot. I was taught by a Fijian Indian lady how to cook a wide range of curries, and the rotis and pourries to go with them. I also do roasts and a wide range of savoury food. But I can't cook a cake to save my life. For a man who likes to cook meals I am more than happy to do the dishes and clean up after !
I like to keep fit, mostly walking and weights, and am gradually slimming down. I enjoy watching the Broncos and Cowboys play, but not wildly into sport. I am a Maroons supporter in Origin.
Weekends and sometimes week days for me are spent socialising with friends, especially over a good coffee and food, or gardening, or revamping old furniture. Also exploring antique and second hand shops, country style markets, and country towns. I do this with friends or on my own, and I plan to increase that exploration now.
I'm very interested in learning new things, and in enjoying the natural world. Loving having time to smell the roses. (And starting to plant them). Love my large garden, garden design, I am aspiring to implement permaculture, but it is a learning process and I am in the early stage. I have had a big caravan in the past, permanently parked in a scenic location, and loved staying in that. (No housework whoopee !). I would like to do that again. I can walk for miles and miles if I get on an unobstructed beach. Can sit on a beach and watch the waves for hours. Not one for shopping centres. Enjoy movies. Would like to find someone with similar values and interests, and really, just someone I click with.
